With the recent mergers and acquisitions in the life insurance industry, the landscape of products has become similar and pricing has become tighter.  AIN’s strategy of reducing the number of carriers it does business with is a bold step in our quest to become the leading distributor of life insurance products in the United States.  To successfully become the number one IMO requires the use of strategic alliances now more than ever. Selecting and reducing the number Core Carriers is perhaps the largest and most important step AIN has ever made towards evolving its business.  Our extensive selection process involved several components including: a 180 question Request For Information (RFI) sent to 25 insurance companies, a 600 page life premium comparison, an 80 question member survey and interviews with top executives at each Core Carrier finalist.
